Candace and Brian are a great couple even though their lives seem like a bit of a train wreck. Brian is incredibly sexy, creative, smart and driven. Candace is caught in a life that restricts her and is in love with a man she shouldn’t want. Like other readers I found Candace annoying on many levels but I understood her and her situation. I was glad that Cherrie Lynn didn’t take the obvious route when it came to solving her issues. That might have made Candace appear stronger as a heroine but then it would have been trite and over-simplified in the over-arching plot line. The side characters are fun and I will definitely delve into the other stories to see what happens to them. The point I would make about this story is that Brian is a guy that most readers will fall in love with, not only because of who he is but because of how he feels about Candace and that makes it a nearly perfect read.
