The 50 Most Romantic Movies Ever Made


In light of our movie lists, this one is a work of art. There are many that I am adding to my ‘to watch’ list. It sadly lacks the delights of Bronte or Austen interpretations, for me, but there are many gems, nonetheless. What’s missing here for you?

    I couldn’t find the list of 50 most romantic movies, but I hope it included the 1940 version of Pride and Prejudice with Laurence Olivier, Greer Garson, Edna May Oliver and several other highly esteemed actors. Screenplay by Aldous Huxley. No other production has ever come close.

    PS. Many of those actors – and the screen playwright – in that 1940 Pride and Prejudice were dead before I was born. But well worth honoring by watching that spectacular film.
